Study and Applications of POLSAR Data Time-Frequency Correlation Properties
نویسندگان
چکیده
This article presents a new approach for the study of PolSAR images using Time-Frequency (TF) correlation properties . PolSAR information is analyzed using a linear time-frequency (TF) decomposition which permits to describe a scene polarimetric behavior for different azimuth angles of observation and frequencies of illumination. A TF signal model is proposed and studied using two statistical descriptors related to the signal stationary aspect and coherence in the time-frequency domain. These indicators are shown to provide complementary information for an enhanced description of the scene. A TF based classification is proposed and applied to fully polarimetric SAR data acquired by the ESAR sensor at Lband. Finally, some description of PolSAR data TF correlation properties are proposed and commented.

Classification of Terrain by Implementing the Correlation Coefficient in the Circular Polarization Basis Using X-Band POLSAR Data
Classification of terrain is one of the most important applications of Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (POLSAR) image analysis. This paper presents a simple method to classify terrain by the use of the correlation coefficients in the circular polarization basis together with the total power of the scattering matrix in the X-band. The reflection symmetry condition that the co-polarized and...

متن کاملPower Transmission Tower Series Extraction in PolSAR Image Based on Time-Frequency Analysis and A-Contrario Theory
Based on Time-Frequency (TF) analysis and a-contrario theory, this paper presents a new approach for extraction of linear arranged power transmission tower series in Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) images. Firstly, the PolSAR multidimensional information is analyzed using a linear TF decomposition approach. The stationarity of each pixel is assessed by testing the maximum likelih...
متن کاملExploiting polarization using multi-frequency SAR data and multi-dimensional time-frequency techniques
During recent years, Time-Frequency (TF) techniques have been introduced to characterize scene polarimetric behaviours using PolSAR data. In this paper, we apply a TF decomposition approach to the analysis of PolSAR data with different frequency bands and show some polarimetric TF behaviours of various scenes. The PolSAR data may be decomposed in azimuth direction, range direction only and in b...
متن کاملSize Evolution Study of the Electronic and Magnetic Properties of MgO Nanoclusters
Magnesium oxide nanoclusters have attracted much attention due to their potential applications to catalysis and novel optoelectronic materials. In the present study, we have studied the electronic and magnetic properties of the stoichiometric magnesium oxide nanoclusters (MgO)n for n = 2-20. Although the binding energy increases with the size of the cluster, it re...
